This is a location for contributors to the shared universe of Spontoon Island to confer, compare notes and fine-tune some adventures. Current and former contributors are welcome.

The Spontoon Island Archipelago is located in an alternate 1930s Pacific Ocean scattered with additional island nations. Pulp sea-island adventure, with funny animals, hula, seaplanes, and anarcho-syndicalist naval forces.

The Spontoon Island setting is intended to be 'open architecture', with much of the background setting to be released to public domain. Contributors retain copyright on their own material. The setting is currently supported by a zine (published on an irregular schedule) and a website.

Other than regular emails or emails containing hyperlinks, the preferred formats for posting attachments to email (or to the files at the Yahoo Groups site) are: .txt, .jpg, & .gif. Adobe Acrobat files (.pdf) are acceptable for the Files section here at Yahoo Groups, but if you post .pdf files as a message, you should remind members that free "Reader" software is available at <www.adobe.com>.

Please try to keep your files under 250Kb. This allows for our differences in software and modem rates. The files at Yahoo can be lower resolution for "show & tell". Ask the moderator if you have special reasons for other formats. Large files for zine publication can be shipped directly to the zine editor.
